Snowing Again!!!
So I woke up this morning to a surprise. I was expecting it to snow on Friday, not on Wed..oh well.. that is what it is like living in the Berkshire Mountains of Mass. To continue where I left off the other day. The glitter is finally gone, all the laundry is done and my house looks child free..at least until a visit from 2 other grandchildren the end of the month. It is soo grey outside that I had to get the glitter out again..this time in my studio and work on some bugs that I created. I use a plastic bug base and then add as many crystals , sequins and glitter that I can... they really cheer me up. I am hoping that the snow will stop today so I can get out and do some things. I still don't like to drive in it. It is very hilly up here and one day a few years ago I found myself in a snow bank on the side of the road. I really floored the gas pedal..I know you are not supposed to do that) but just wanted to get out. So with my knees shaking I drove the rest of the way home and announced that my" driving in the snow days was over!!" I do have a four wheel drive and the the car definately knows what to do, it is me that just gets so scared that my brain just turns off. So from the way it looks right know I will be getting out the glitter again today.

I can't believe I haven't blogged in so many months

ok... so I haven't blogged in so long... I am going to try to do better. We have had so much snow up here in the Berkshires in the last week... and since I won't drive in the snow I have been in my studio busy beading. Lucky for me my studio is in my garage which is only a short walk from the house.. easy even during a snow storm. It is always warm and bright and I can see all around from up there... The studio on the second floor. I went back to beading on a loom this past week.. I always love doing that but I love doing peyote too... This is the first time that I am working on so many different things at one time. I am busy doing my postage stamp pendants with stamps that have flowers, birds, insects on them. I use resin to cover them so while that is drying I am able to work on beading. I am having so much fun... but sometimes I lose my direction and think that I am doing tooo many different things.... but they are like children and I can't seem to give any of them up. Of course my muse Daisy, my Bichon, is always there to give me inspriation.I am hoping that we are done with the big snow storms and I will try to blog more often... not a promise... but I will try... Lots of new pieces on my web sites so please visit... http://www.southfielddesigns.etsy.com/ http://www.southfielddesigns.artfire.com/ and http://www.southfielddesigns.com/ take care and please stay in touch!
